Christopher McDougall | Born to Run
I’m halfway through and can tell you that this is amazing. I figured you had to be a runner to enjoy this book, but that’s not the case at all - it’s just a really good book.

Just finished this book and it is AMAZING. I had been getting pain in my feet and realized it was plantar faciitis. This book has convinced me to start barefoot running, so I’m starting to work my way up to it. Enjoy!

President Obama has now shattered any doubt about the administration’s commitment to achieving fully equal civil rights for the GLBT (gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender) community. No shades of gray. No politically sculpted safe place for the President to endorse same sex civil unions over marriages. No separate but equal. None of that any more.

A Time-Lapse Study of Hawaii’s Spectacular Clouds

Take a mini-vacation to Hawaii and watch color-saturated cloudscapes zoom by in this short video by Michael Marantz, which begins with a quote from Atlantic co-founder Ralph Waldo Emerson: “The sky is the daily bread of the eyes.” Indeed — and beautiful time-lapse videos make a good late-afternoon snack. M83 provides an appropriately epic soundtrack.

Oh man, I miss my home
